Overview ::

TotalTrash hosts servers for the ZDaemon online DooM community.

History ::

TotalTrash was started after the Red Nexus servers went offline. Our primary goal was to add additional quality servers to the ZDaemon Community for league play. After a warm reception from many players in the community we decided that TotalTrash was worth sustaining. In that interest Ladna, one of the founders of TotalTrash, has endeavored to create and host a real-time statistics interface for all the TotalTrash servers. If you happen to see him online, be sure to tell him what an awesome job he's done =).

Purpose ::

TotalTrash primarily hosts competitive servers, for IDL, ZDDL, and TDMania. We try and focus on a high level of play, using competitive configurations (from the above leagues) and eliminating frustrating situations, such as:

8 vs. 8 (or 16 vs. 16 when 1.09 is released) on small maps
Overtime stalemates
Unpopular/uncompetitive maps

We also host a few public CTF and Duel servers. This is mostly to keep interesting WADs in rotation, and we're always open to server/WAD requests, especially for new WADs, testing, clan wars/scrims, and tourneys.

Due to the bandwidth stats being broken, we can't tell you our bandwidth usage. However, it also means we get infinite bandwidth, so we'll probably continue to make this trade ;).

Privacy ::

TotalTrash views IP addresses, aliases, locations, etc. as private information, we don't see connecting to our servers (zserv or web or otherwise) as implicit permission to give this information out. However, we will give this information to clan leaders, ZDaemon administrators, and server administrators as necessary if we ourselves suspect you of cheating, namefaking, harassment, or (with some exceptions) other violations of the ZDaemon Terms of Service.

We aren't really soliciting donations, this is just so certain "arrangements" can be made.
