:: Overview ::

TotalTrash hosts servers and WADs for the online Doom community, including Odamex, ZDaemon, and Skulltag.

:: History ::

TotalTrash was started after the original Red Nexus servers went offline. Our primary goal was to add additional quality servers to the ZDaemon community for league play. After a warm reception from many players in the community we decided that TotalTrash was worth sustaining.

:: Purpose ::

TotalTrash primarily hosts competitive servers, for IDL, ZDDL, and SICL. We try and focus on a high level of play, using competitive configurations (from the above leagues) and eliminating frustrating situations, such as:

• 8 vs. 8 (or 16 vs. 16 when 1.09 is released) on small maps
• Overtime stalemates
• Unpopular/uncompetitive maps

We also host non-competitive servers as a service to the online Doom community. We're always open to server/WAD requests for testing, clan wars/scrims and tourneys, especially for new WADs. For instance, TotalTrash is a regular host of the weekly ZDaemon Sessions.

TotalTrash is also the beta testing site for the ZDStack software, which in turn depends upon the following:

TotalTrash runs on a C2D E6600 (2.6GHz) machine with 2GB of RAM. Here's a typical 'top' shot:

Physically, TotalTrash is hosted by ColoCrossing, the details being:

• Bandwidth Allocation: 1.5TB/month
• Internal Link: 100Mbps (12.5 MB/s)
• Internet Link: Connected to Level3, nLayer and AT&T

Due to the bandwidth stats being broken, we can't tell you our bandwidth usage.

This website and the WAD repository is not located on TotalTrash, rather it is hosted by Suso Technology Services, Inc., in order to keep lag on TotalTrash itself to an absolute minimum.

:: Privacy ::

TotalTrash views IP addresses, aliases, locations, etc. as private information, we don't see connecting to our servers (game, web or otherwise) as implicit permission to give this information out. However, we will give this information to clan leaders, as well as game/server/league administrators as necessary if we ourselves suspect you of cheating, namefaking, harassment, or (with some exceptions) other violations of the Odamex/ZDaemon/Skulltag Terms of Service.
